Who I am

Lumo Web (lumoweb.uk) is a trading name of [OWNER’S LEGAL NAME], [CONTACT ADDRESS]. I am the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach me at contact@lumoweb.uk.

What I collect

Why I use it

I use your details to reply to you, to prepare a quote or mock-up you have asked for, and to provide and invoice for my services. This is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, to carry out a contract, and for my legitimate interest in running a small business and keeping the site secure.

Contacting businesses

I may email limited companies and LLPs about my services using business contact details that are publicly available, based on my legitimate interests. Every message says who I am and how to opt out. If you ask me to stop, I will, and I keep a note so I don’t contact you again.

Who I share it with

I don’t sell your details. I use trusted providers to run the business: Cloudflare (hosting and domain), a form service (currently Web3Forms) to deliver form messages to my inbox, Apple (iCloud email), and Google (which supplies this site’s fonts and so receives your IP address when the page loads). Some of these providers are based outside the UK, so your information may be transferred abroad with appropriate safeguards.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are kept for up to [12 months]. Customer and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask me to delete your details earlier, unless I must keep them by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how I use it, or ask me to restrict it. Email contact@lumoweb.uk and I’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If I change this policy I’ll update the date at the top.
